Well Lit is Back!

We are thrilled that we are now supported by Arts Council England for Well Lit a duo choreographed and performed by me and Daniel Persson. This piece has been seeding for some time and we now are going all guns blazing this summer, with three weeks in Lund, Sweden and 2 weeks in London as part of the Choreodrome residency at The Place. Daniel and I are very excited that Well Lit is getting a chance to stretch its legs and with a wonderful team of super talented collaborators, we can't wait to get in the studio next week after all this time working in preparation.

This piece, which explores our gender and cultural identities, is pushing and demoting some of the boundaries that shape us, looking at the everyday assumptions and stigmatisations that occur. Well Lit feels like it needs to be heard and shared and with this ACE funding we can now make this possible.

As usual we will be posting as the weeks unfold keeping you all in the loop about how its going. and I musnt forget there is a save the date - on 6th September we are showing an extract as part of Touch Wood at The Place which is a great chance to see early stage work and where the audience is very much encouraged to discuss and give feedback. We will also be showing the original version of the piece in Lund at Sommar Festivlan on the 24th July.
